Hi-Tech Metals offers sheet metal tapping in Auckland, along with countersinking, as part of our complete sheet metal manufacturing service. These processes can be completed in-house on laser-cut components, reducing the need for additional processing and keeping your job moving efficiently through production.
Tapping allows threads to be added directly into components for screws, bolts and other threaded fasteners, while countersinking creates a recessed finish so suitable fasteners can sit flush with the surface of the material.
By completing tapping and countersinking in-house at our East Tamaki facility, components can move efficiently from laser cutting and folding through to tapping, countersinking, hardware insertion, welding, finishing and assembly as required.
